Like I said earlier, I just came back from Finland yesterday. The Borgen youthteam wanted to borrow me from DTS for a one week so I could join them and go to Finland. The youthteam organizes different kind of activities for kids and youth and this time they organized an event called ''sport-x'' in Finland. They have done it earlier in Norway for couple of times but now they felt God giving them opportunites to reach young people in Finland. They asked me to join them, to lead a musicworkshop and do translations and so on. I was SO excited! I love my country and my people and I wanna see them receiving Jesus in their lives! So I took the challenge and jumped into Toyota and here we went..
Muonio was our destination. We were gonna do sport-x at schooltime on wednesday, have a devotion at high school on thursday and a youthmeeting in the evening, and go to the junior high on friday morning to have a devotion. Sport X turned out to be great! I led the musicworkshop from 9-15 with many awesome young and talented people while others were leading dance/drama, creative and indoorhockeyworkshops. We presented the Gospel and invited them to youthmeeting. Couple of my ''bandmembers'' wanted to join me and play worship in the youthmeeting! I was so happy for it! I don't think they even knew what the word ''worship'' meant but ohhh, their hearts were open! 14 people showed up to the youthmeeting we had the night before leaving. It was powerful, I believe God really spoke to some of them. Everyone of us (team) shared what Jesus means to us and we have some funny things and dramas, we had worship and so on. There were couple of young peole that God really put in my heart. I will keep on praying for them and I hope to see them again and share more what God has done in my life. God loves those kids SO MUCH!
It was VERY sad to leave Muonio. Just before we left, Timo (our contactperson), asked us if we wanted to be interviewed at the radiostation. We said yes! Suddenly they wanted me to sing and play one song which I played(and gave a short testimony) in the same morning when we had a devotion at junior high. Wow.. so I sang and played and they recorded it :) it was great. After that it was time to leave and say goodbyes. Thety were very willing to have the team back and I'm sure God will give them more opportunities to work together. But the week in Muonio was amazing for me.. opened my eyes more and more, to see the love that God has for young people and the fact that He can use also me to reach to them!! I was very happy to help the team and serve God through translating, leading workshop, leading worship, giving testimonies, singing and playing for Him.
Now we are back at Borgen and tomorrow we are gonna go to Tromsø. Packing, unpacking and packing again :) But I love it. God is so good! After one week in Tromsø the finnish DTS is gonna come up here and spend one week with us. Exciting! Now I gotta go and do some laundry.
God I love you. I love you more than anything. I'm so thankful for you, for everything you have done during this week. For everything You have done in my life. I wanna learn to love You even more.
